Hold On - Alabama Shakes
I'm impressed to say that my Dad suggested I listen to Alabama Shakes. One track he mentioned in particular was Hold On. The lyrics mention making it to 22 years old. Not quite sure how I should feel about the connection he made between the song and I. True, I'm about to turn 22 but I always thought I'd make it here and far far beyond.
Singer, Brittany Howard, has an incredibly strong voice - I had almost mistaken her for a man. There are no surprises that my Dad instantly wanted to buy their album, Boys and Girls, the band suits his love for alternative music perfectly.
